While true advocates of the importance of the vote and the voting process, it is important to recognize that while demonstrably powerful, casting ballots is only a part of the political process.
We all have an obligation to identify hard working and honest representatives and to spread the word. Moreover we as the community have the right to question our champions, hold them to their promises and to help shape their agenda by being vocal and asking that our needs and our voices be met with respect, dignity and good service.
